Every blogger, affiliate marketer want their content to rank high in Google’s top 10. Because top 10 spots send most of the traffic to sites.

But for some keywords even being in top 20 can send you decent amount of traffic to your blog.

Our concern today is to make sure we do everything required to rank in Google’s top 10.

Based on my personal experience in SEO (search engine optimization) I want to share my experience in SEO and show you exact reasons that may hold your content back from ranking high in search engines.

I will also reveal some interesting facts that many of you may not know about SEO and getting traffic from Google.

So, let’s start our research for reasons and I want you to know that even following these tips and reasons will NOT guarantee your rankings.

Because no one can give guarantees when it comes to SEO. But it will seriously increase your chances of rankings high in Google’s top 10.

Reason # 1 – When you start writing your content you need in 2,3 short sentences exactly explain what you are going to cover in your blog post so your readers know what they can expect from you. In this part you must give confidence that you definitely can and are going to help your reader so they don’t bounce from your page before reading.

Reason # 2 – Never mislead your readers by giving them false information. Give them exactly what you have promised in the title of your blog post. Because if you don’t do so they will bounce and your site will not rank high.

Reason # 3 – In the beginning of your post try to hook your readers by giving more details of what you are going to uncover in your blog post. This will give them a reason to stay and not bounce from your page.

Reason # 4 – If you post is a responsive kind of post to a specific question then you need to provide an answer in the beginning of your blog post. Google will use it as a snippet for your blog post and it’s good in terms of SEO.

Reason # 9 – Keep your post length appropriate. If you write about super competitive topic before writing do some research to find out what is the average post length on that same topic. Try to keep length of your post around 3500-4000 words for a competitive topic and around 1500-2000 words for medium competitive keywords. Post length is still critical for high rankings on Google.

Reason # 10 – Your post must contain helpful tips that are not so obvious or that are available on other blogs. Copying other blogs will not help. You need to add more specific and valuable information, tips to make your post as much different from other blogs as possible. It will help reduce bounces from your page and improve rankings on search engines.

Reason # 11 – Give authoritative answers in your post. Before writing content you need to do an in-depth research and provide the most helpful and informative answers. Info must be based on factual data, real facts to back up your statements. It will increase your blog authority, keep readers on your blog and ultimately will help climb up rankings to top 10.

Reason # 12 – Keep your post closely related to the chosen topic and use related words (keywords) so both your audience and Google can understand what you mean. You need to follow this simple rule so your audience and Google can understand what you mean and give you the rankings you probably deserve. For this you need to do a research to find out what terms are used for the topic you chose. Because each industry has specific terms for describing certain things. You must learn those terms so Google and your potential audience can understand you. This is critical for your search engine rankings.

Reason # 13 – Never write first introductory paragraph/s too long because readers may not like it and bounce from your page. Introduction must be clear and concise.

Reason # 14 – All your paragraphs within your blog post must be concise yet informative enough to make your readers happy with what they learn from your content. Never write long paragraphs. Google scans images and can read them. That’s why posts with great, informative, educating images always outrank posts with standard images.
