Pros and Cons of Making Money Online
There are many reasons to become an internet marketer and start working from home. But nothing is perfect in the world and working from home has its great advantages and disadvantages as well.
If you have no experience in this field, you might be thinking that working from home is cool and easy. That’s why, today I would like to show you what to expect if you want to make money from the comfort of your home and I’m going to be very honest with you.
I guess you probably won’t like the truth I’m going to reveal but if you are wise enough you will appreciate my being honest because it will save you from wasting your time and money, and from falling into scams.
First of all, I would like to point out that working from home does really have great advantages such as being your own boss, working as much as you want, having rest when you need and want, travelling whenever you decide and finally making serious money. Yes, really you can make serious money but it is not going to happen overnight.
Forget about those claims made by self-proclaimed gurus that play on your feelings. Before you start making serious money, $5000/10000 per month you will have to work very hard for 1/2 years at least. Yes, I’m not wrong, not joking or lying to you! You need to work for 1/2 years at least before you start to see those numbers.
But some internet marketers reach those numbers even in the first year. But all this depends on many factors. In real life, even if you work for someone from 9 to 5 you can hardly earn the amount I’ve mentioned above. If you work online and are your own boss you can make serious money. The only thing you need is work 3,4 days a week, 3,4 hours daily.
If you are not willing or ready to follow that schedule then you will never make serious money. If you work from home, you can make serious money BUT only if you are prepared to work hard.
When you are your own boss it’s really great because it gives you a lot of advantages that I’ve mentioned above. No one is going to tell you do this or that. No one will shout at you. No one can fire you. No one will tell you that your salary will be $1500 per month and if you don’t like it you can go away.
No one is going to ask or force you to go to your work if you feel bad and prefer to stay at home. If you want to travel you can do it whenever you want to. The world is vast and being an online entrepreneur gives you a chance to see all beauties of this beautiful world. The only thing you need is take your laptop with you to have full control of your business.
When you work for yourself you learn something new almost every day. You have to, because if you want to be ahead of your competitors or keep your positions, you need to keep up with up-to-date techniques and trends.
Compared to our real life, to start making money online doesn’t require a lot of expenses. You can start for free, without spending a penny. But if you want to see serious results then you need to spend some money.
You need a hosting, approx. $100 a year, $50 for a WordPress premium theme and the training at Wealthy Affiliate for $19 for the first month. If you decide to stay at Wealthy Affiliate then you need to pay 47$ per month. As you can see, it’s not a lot compared to what you can earn on the web.
Things to know before making money online
You can work as much as you want depending on how much you want to earn. You have to organize your home office and take your job seriously. You should take your work from home as seriously as you would take your regular job. You need to set your plan and follow your schedule. But you don’t have to work 24 hours a day. Take a rest whenever you feel you need it.
Working for yourself is the best way to know yourself. Everyone has hidden potential and working for yourself can show you what you are capable of.
The internet is still growing and only 30% of the world’s population has access to it.
If you think that there is high competition and you have no chance to make money online you are wrong.
There are a lot of opportunities out there and the sooner you start the sooner you will start making money.
Working from home means browsing internet everyday and this is a cool part of being an online entrepreneur.
I’m not sure about you, but I love this job. This includes reading online stuff, networking with people via your website, Facebook, Twitter, helping others, making videos etc., and finally making money.
It’s not as easy as you might be thinking
The hardest part of making money online is that you need to work very hard for about one year or so to take your business to a serious level and start making money. Only after that you can relax and continue updating (adding fresh content) to your website 2 times a week at least to keep your Google rankings.
So, you need to invest your time first and then turn your business into a passive income. But don’t get me wrong. When I say passive income, it doesn’t mean that you will be making money doing nothing. Just you need to do a few things required to maintain your site.
But there are some disadvantages of working from home. When you start, you need to work hard to create a lot of content for your website. I don’t recommend you to come up with 5/10 pages of content and then sit and wait for traffic and money. You need to work on your site consistently and add new content on a regular basis.
I know that it’s not an easy task to run a website and it requires hard work. This is the most difficult part of making money online. At times, you feel that you don’t want to write anymore or don’t know what to write about but have to. But all this pays off in many ways, especially when you start making a few thousands per month.
If you choose a profession of internet marketer then you will realize soon that most of your time you are going to stay alone working at home. Working from home is definitely not easy, like you said. It’s hard, very hard. But I would rather work on growing my business harder than everyone else in the world, but at least after some time I won’t ever need to work a dumb job again. You’re right. It’s not easy at all. In involves a lot of daily activities, such as creating content, researching new content ideas, creating videos, social sharing, commenting, guest posting, other link building activities, traffic strategies etc. A lot of things to do if you are taking your business seriously and want good results. Also, some people don’t like working from home and prefer working in other places where they can see and talk to other people. But at the end of the day it’s as hard as working for someone else. The difference is the amount of money you can make when you work for yourself. When you work for yourself you can make way more than when working for someone. But it’s true for some people. Because not everyone can make a lot of money online.

That’s true Peteni. Most people buy into hopes and dreams that other people try to sell them. Instead of following exact recommendations from knowledgeable and experienced people that try to help them. For serious results 1,2 years is the minimum. For those that are looking for quick ways to make money will most likely fail very soon.

If you work 2 hours a week at this, it will not work nearly as fast as if you decided to put 20 hours a week into it. Just a fact. It’s no get rich quick scheme, but it IS PROFITABLE!

Making money online has a lot of pros. You don’t need to go 10 miles to go to work. You don’t need to answer to anybody but yourself. And a lot of other things.
There are some cons, too. Like staying motivated and productive. That’s probably one of the toughest thing to do. You know.

Many people think that making money online is just a fun and that’s why I explained that this process is not easy and takes as much effort as you would put in if you had been working in the real world. There are always some cons whatever you do, but the biggest pros of making money online is that you can be financially absolutely independent which is very important in my opinion. At least it’s important for me.

My intention was to help folks understand what making money online means because most people don’t realize that making money online is as difficult as making money in the real world. If you wok hard then it will make sense and if not then you will be just wasting your time and making pennies. Like you say, it will not occur overnight but it will definitely occur sooner or later. For most people it occurs by the end of their first year, but for some it may be faster. I personally made my first $8 on the second month of going online and started making money on a regular basis on the 10th month of going online. This is very realistic approach without any exaggeration or false promises. I mean if you are serious about making money online you can achieve fantastic results with minimum investment of money and with maximum investment of your effort and time.
