Is Home Office Careers a Scam

Product Name: Home Office Careers

Price: $19.95 monthly/$99.95 annually

Overall rank: 30 out of 100

There are many programs/websites/companies online that provide job search service to help folks find a job so they can support their families. One of such websites that I’ve come across recently is Home Office Careers.

This is a relatively new site in the industry. This website promises you to help find a job so you can work from your home.

My overall rating of this program is not so high. But does it mean Home Office Careers is a scam? I don’t think so. I can’t say it’s a scam. But I didn’t include it in my recommended list either.

My job is to help you make the right decision about Home Office Careers and that’s why I spent a good amount of time to do my research and I came to a decision that this program though is not a scam but it has some red flags.

And I think it’s my responsibility to show you all these red flags so you can decide for yourself if Home Office Careers is worth your attention. The good news is that you can try Home Office Careers for free.

So, let’s try to find out if Home Office Careers is a scam or not.

Why you need Home Office Careers?

Like any other job search site Home Office Careers has an advanced search platform designed to help you find a job so you can work from your home.

There are different types of memberships inside Home Office Careers and you can choose one that fits your budget. Packages vary from $19.95 monthly to $99.95 annually.

Cons of Home Office Careers

  • 8 red flags
  • Some exaggerated claims

In my opinion, Home Office Careers is not a trustworthy website though I can’t confidently say it’s a scam. There are some red flags here to watch out for. Plus there are many other job search sites in the industry that are more trustworthy than Home Office Careers. If you want to work for yourself and learn how to make money online here is my favourite program since 2013. I’m a member of it and you can try it for FREE.

Home Office Careers review

As I said above, my job is to do my own research of the programs that claim to help people start making money online or help them find a job.

And I did my research of Home Office Careers. Since 2013 each and every month I review many programs and spend many hours in front of my computer in order to do quality research.

I’m not perfect. Anyway, I did my research and I’m going to reveal some interesting facts about this program.

There are several red flags that I’ve spotted in this program and even one single fact is enough to stay away from Home Office Careers.

But I will show you all the facts so you can decide what to do with this program.

Home Office Careers’ Red flags

Red flag 1: Not listed anywhere

If you need to find a job online I perfectly understand you. There are many legit and reliable job search sites online and it’s not hard to get support from any of them. But why use Home Office Careers for this?

I checked their site and it has some job offers. But in order to take advantage of the Home Office Careers job search engine you need to pay for the membership which starts from $19.95.

membership plans

The most expensive membership package will cost you $99.95 annually. If you choose annually it’s affordable. If monthly I think it’s expensive. BTW, when I clicked on the FAQ menu option it took me to another page with new prices. See the screenshot below.

choose payment plan

I think it looks strange. Because on the main page they show prices $19.95 – $99,95 but on other pages they show you other prices. BTW, in 2016 they had other prices too. I don’t really like such an approach.

membership

For example, you can go to other job search sites, such as Monster.com, Job.com, Indeed.com, RobertHalf.com, TheLadders.com, Dice.com, LinkUp.com etc.

As you can see, there are a lot of job search sites available in the industry and all these site are well established and have a solid reputation.

On some of them you can even find a job for free. Plus they provide high quality support through many ways, such as phone call, email, live chat, video calls.

Why then use Home Office Careers?

It’s not listed in any reputable source in online space. No one knows about this website. It’s totally new and the reputation is unknown.

Red flag 2: misleading ads

I have several websites and I already wrote my review of Home Office Careers in September 2016 on my other site (affiliate payoff.com).

And now I’m writing a new review to show you some other new facts about this program so you can see the whole picture and understand why I think Home Office Careers is not a trustworthy program in my opinion.

So, back in September 2016 when I checked their site and clicked on the “Search Jobs” menu option it took me to another page with various ads under the category: Approved work from home opportunities”.

Home Office Careers ad

You can see the ads on the screenshot below. I checked those ads and all of them were very disappointing. You see the ads on the image:

Enjoy the freedom of working from anywhere with internet access, work for yourself and never have a boss again… Believe me, I’ve seen may such ads and they are simply useless and are a waste of time.

The good news is that they removed all those ads which is really a positive fact in regards to Home Office Careers. But the fact that they once showed those ads to people is not good.

Red flag 3: Fake reviews?

Back in September 2016 Home Office Careers had a Trustpilot banner on their website where you could click and read around 20 reviews about Home Office Careers.

review of Home Office Careers

Of course, all those reviews were positive. It’s fine with me. But the problem is that I don’t really believe all those reviews were real. I did some research and found an article about fake reviews on the internet.

( https://www.theguardian.com/money/2013/jan/26/fake-reviews-plague-consumer-websites). You can read an extract from that article below. By this I don’t want to say that Trustpilot is a scam or fake site.

I just show you the facts and you make your decision. BTW, read some other comments about Trustpilot.

Red flag 4: Home Office Careers Facebook activity

I checked their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Home-Office-Careers–380036008819940/) and found out that they have some activity on Facebook and sometimes respond to people which is good.

Home Office Careers Facebook activity

But I noticed that on Home Office Careers website they have Facebook like and share buttons.

It showed 42k likes in September 2016 and now it’s August 2017 and already it shows 52k likes. They had 18k shares and now they have 24k shares. It’s all fine with me.

fake likes

But if they have so many likes and shares, to be exact, thousands of likes and shares and when I read their Facebook comments I can’t find even a single comment from any Home Office Careers member who shared their positive experience with this company.

Not a single post from someone who used their service and was able to find a job!!!

I found only some people thinking about upgrading from free to a paying member and trying to find out if Home Office Careers was a scam or not!

I don’t want to make any final decisions about this company but I think all their likes and shares are not real. Maybe I’m wrong, who knows.

But I think I’m not wrong. Because there is a ton of sites in online space where you can buy fake Youtube views, fake Twits, fake Facebook likes etc.

Red flag 5: No FAQ page

If you scroll down Home Office Careers site you will see FAQ menu option designed to answer your questions.

Right? Unfortunately, if you want to click on that link you will find that this link won’t take you to the FAQ page.

Because FAQ page simply doesn’t exist. Do you think after all this Home Office Careers looks trustworthy?

Red flag 6: No mention of Home Office Careers on Forbes.com, Entrepreneur.com, Wall Street Journal.

Again, if you scroll down Home Office Careers website you will see names of authority sites, such as Forbes.com, Entrepreneur.com, WallStreetJournal.com which means Home Office Careers was mentioned on all those respectful websites.

fake info

Of course, I did my research and found out that Home Office Careers was never mentioned on any of those sites. This fact alone is enough to understand that Home Office Careers is not a reliable company and you better stay away from it.

Red flag 7: stupid ads

When I wrote my first review of Home Office Careers back in September 2016 I found another strange thing on their website. The “dashboard” took me to a new page, full of stupid ads promising thousands of dollars per month.

One ad promised me to make over $10.000 per month, the other ad promised over $5.000 per week. Some other ads promised me to make a few hundred bucks per day.

misleading ads

Of course, the only reason for showing those ads was sending people like you and me to those ads in the hope that some of us will buy something and Home Office Careers would earn a commission. Do you like this idea?

I certainly do not. Because reliable job search sites are not allowed to promote such cheap and misleading ads. I checked the site and it looks like they now removed that ad page which is really good.

But the fact that the page was there proves that Home Office Careers is not a reliable company because those ads once were there and people like you could lose your hard earned money by clicking on them and ordering one of those useless products.

Red flag 8: Promotional video

They also had a promotional video back in September 2016 on the main page of their website. You can see the screenshot of that video below. You can now watch that video if you click on the FAQ menu in the footer of their website.

The woman that you can see in the video is the the same person that you can see on another website (fiverr.com). Many people use this site both for quality and fake services.

testimonial from fiverr

For example, some people pay for fake video testimonials or fake video reviews.

There were several stupid claims in the video. As if Home Office Careers checks all job positions manually for quality assurance or that you can earn as much money as you need!

Regarding checking all job positions manually I can’t believe it’s true.

Regarding making as much money as you need I don’t believe at all.

Let’s say I want to earn $50.000 per month. Can Home Office Careers help me with that? I don’t think so.

Final word about Home Office Careers

If you want to find a job I recommend to use respectful job search sites that I’ve mentioned above. They are all legit and have been around for many years. So, their reputation is good.

I believe Home Office Careers doesn’t even come close to any of those respectful sites. Plus there are some other red flags in the program. If you still want to try Home Office Careers the choice is yours. I’m not saying it’s bad or it’s a scam.

I did my research and revealed some facts to help people like you. If you think I’m wrong you can leave my site and pay for your membership at Home Office Careers website.

But I think you better spend your money in other places, more reliable and trustworthy.

I believe red flags that I’ve found in this program prove that Home Office Careers is not worth your time and effort.

I don’t think Home Office Careers is a scam. But it’s not a program/website that I can confidently recommend to my visitors/readers.

    Hi Rufat,

Very very detailed article. My only red flag would be that you have to pay to search for a job online! How stupid is that? There are many other sites you can search for legitimate jobs, as well as work-from-home jobs.
Why should one pay to get access to job listings? I never understood that!

    • Rufat says:

Absolutely agree with you. There is no need to pay for finding a job. There are many sites where you can find a job without paying a dime. Especially when it comes to sites like Home Office Careers that is not popular at all. It was never mentioned even among top 50 job search sites.

  2. Dewayne says:

I have an enormous amount of respect for your content the internet can be so helpful and can also be so deceptive . There are so many vulnerable people such as my self looking for opportunity and so many people that want to take advantage of that .

I read similar reviews about trust pilot and they had the same conclusion that you did so what I started doing to also avoid these deceptive website is take at least 2 weeks of checking forums and private chats, by the end of my research from all the info I collected if 50 to 75% are negative comments and experiences than I move on to the next.

I was wondering if you can recommend your personal favorite and reputable programs to work with thank you.

    • Rufat says:

I think your method is really good. That’s why I visited Home Office Careers Facebook page and read their comments. I didn’t find even a single comment from at least one of their members who would share their positive experience after trying Home Office Careers. Though they have over 52k likes and over 24k shares. Very strange in my opinion.

wow, you could not have been more detailed about this company! I have learned a lot and from what I can see from reading your review it is truly a scam and not trustworthy at all…I will definitely be back here to review more programs before I buy because you are very honest and don’t miss anything! Thanks for spending your time with this to help us, unknowing humans, out 🙂 I think you are right when saying that there are many other legit and respectful job search sites available out there.

    • Rufat says:

No, I don’t think it’s a scam but there are some read flags here and after learning all these facts I really don’t want to deal with this company. Plus there are many other legit sites out there. I think it would be unreasonable to pay Home Office Careers when there are other proven job search sites that people have already tried and are happy with.
