The Six Figure Mentors program has been already around for some time and it teaches people how to make money online.
It was launched first in 2010 and to be honest, they failed to achieve success with their system. Later, in 2012 they relaunched the program with some improvements.
There are many reviews on the internet about this program and opinions are really different. Some people consider it legit while others say it’s a scam.
To be honest, I can’t agree with people that say it’s a scam simply because the program is not a scam though it’s not perfect at all.
Most people that consider Six Figure Mentors to be a scam, think so because they want to promote a different product and that is the main reason that they try to show SFM in an unfavourable light.
I think their approach is wrong and in my review I’m going to be very honest with you and I will explain in details all good and bad sides of SFM.
Before you continue reading my review I want you to know that SFM is not a scam, BUT I can’t confidently recommend it either. Because this program is not perfect at all and membership packages are really way expensive and not affordable for an average person. A friend of mine lost $7000 with SFM and left the program after having been a member of SFM for almost a year. Take a look at his message to me.
I suggest that you take a look at another program that is a much better alternative to SFM and the price is affordable. I’m actually a member of this program.
The main idea behind Six Figure Mentors
The main idea behind Six Figure Mentors is about teaching you affiliate marketing and then selling people high ticket items.
Though they claim to teach you affiliate marketing, in fact, they mainly focus on teaching you how to sell their own product to other people, and by selling high ticket items you can earn fat affiliate commissions.
It means that their product isn’t that great at all. Their main concern is to bring new people to their system through selling them high ticket products and allow you to earn a commission.
And they teach you how to bring new people to their system and make money off them. That’s it.
And like with many other programs, there are people who are unhappy with SFM and there are people who are happy with it. And there are some complaints of course.
Pros of Six Figure Mentors
- You can try the program (initial level only) – not much value
- Videos are informative
- Money back guarantee ($29.95 refundable)
- Training
- Support
Cons of Six Figure Mentors
- Not as easy as you might be thinking
- Membership fee is very high and not affordable to most people
- Some packages will cost you a few thousands ( up to $30.000)
- There are some complaints on the internet
- To earn high affiliate commissions you must buy Elite membership (too expensive)
- To earn affiliate commissions you must stay there as a member, i.e. pay them
Inside the program
1. First off, SFM has a training ( getting started, building a foundation, start marketing, article marketing, ezine marketing, video marketing, social media etc.), community, forum, live calls, live webinars, tools, high affiliate commissions etc.
At first glance, the program is really good and many people can benefit from their training and communication with other successful internet marketers which is awesome. You can learn the basics of internet marketing to understand the process of making money online.
2. Once you pay $29.95 for intro membership, you get access to the following training course: Info marketing, Marketing Funnel training, Traffic generation, Lead generation, Internet marketing system tutorial, Creating an authority website, WordPress training etc.
If you are completely new to internet marketing, it can be very useful to watch these lessons and if you are a seasoned marketer it might be not so exciting.
Then you will get access to this page and there you will find other useful lessons, have some conference calls from top tier coaches.
The main problem with Six Figure Mentors is that to be able to earn high affiliate commissions you have to buy extremely expensive membership packages:
$29.95 one time + $25 per month – intro membership
$297 one time + $97 per month – basic membership
$2500 per year + $97 per month – elite membership ( access to high ticket affiliate commissions)
3. Most reviewers of SFM say that programs like SFM shouldn’t require their members to pay that much money to be able to promote high ticket items to earn affiliate commissions. Others say that members don’t pay for being able to promote products, they just pay for the training.
Anyway, even if they pay for the training, it’s still very expensive and an average internet user can’t afford that price.
This is my opinion and my main argument is that there are other quality programs on the internet that produce awesome results by helping people make money online and their price is much less compared to what SFM requires you to pay.
4. Another problem with SFM is that it’s not easy to sell high ticket items to people struggling online and I think in that sense, SFM owners focus on making money instead of helping people make money. Just imagine that once you join the program you start paying them and there is no guarantee when YOU start making money.
I understand that by selling high ticket items you can earn high affiliate commissions, but to be able to earn them you need to bring targeted traffic to your website or a squeeze page because your internet success depends on two things : 1. good product, 2. targeted traffic.
5. To bring traffic, you have 5 proven options: 1. Write content for your website and get it ranked on Google ( it takes times, most probably 3–6 months), 2. Buy traffic (PPC) (you need to spend money again), 3. Build your list (email marketing) (requires time, most probably months…), 4. Social media (requires time and hard work), 5. Video marketing (YouTube) (requires months and hard work).
As you can see, there are no any secrets to making money online. Just use proven methods, work hard and success will come, but it requires time and patience and hard work). One thing you must understand that Six Figure Mentors is not going to work for you and you just sit back and grab your money. This is a dream.
6. The bottom line is that it’s not easy to sell high tickets items on the internet though it’s possible and if you can, then you will earn good affiliate commissions. But it’s possible if you can afford to pay the price Six Figure Mentors is asking from you.
7. The good thing about SFM is that they have a forum where you can ask questions and get the assistance and that’s really great. They have also a messenger inside the members area and it’s another good option.
8. One thing that I don’t like about Six Figure Mentors is that they don’t have a keyword research tool and that’s really bad because keyword research is extremely important to be able to get your content ranked on Google or make your PPC campaign maximum profitable. This part of their system of course requires improvements.
9. Another thing that I don’t like about Six Figure Mentors is that they actually don’t teach you real affiliate marketing. Because real affiliate marketing is about finding a product, choosing a niche you have interest in, creating your website and making money from it.
Or to be exact, they teach you this stuff, but they mainly focus on teaching you to sell their own product to other people, which is like I said above, is very expensive and the membership price is not affordable to an average internet user.
10. I also don’t like some of their training materials because it doesn’t offer much value.
Free Digital Lifestyles Video Series – some marketing tricks used to get your email address and then they will be sending you their offers trying to get you into the system.
Introductory Package – not much different from the first package + access to Digital Businessman Lounge (DBL). They talk too much about the lifestyle you can afford by following them.
Basic SFM Package – you become a premium member, learn the basics of making money online, BUT still can’t sell their high ticket items.
Elite Package – only this super high package will allow you to become a SFM super affiliate and probably earn high affiliate commissions. And you will also get access to one-on-one coaching by the owners of Six Figure Mentors, Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek.
11. Some of their upsells, such as Digital Experts Academy will cost you a few thousands of dollars and that’s really bad, guys. Digital Experts Academy packages include Elite, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black with Black to cost you $30.000)
12. Another reason that I don’t like SFM is that you can keep your websites/squeeze pages as long as you pay them and have access to their system. That’s really bad because you can’t move your site to any other hosting that has lower price, you simply locked there.
13. If you have enough money and can afford paying SFM for the elite membership, if you are not tech savvy, probably this program is a good fit for you because in case with SFM, they will make most of the setup work for you, though it’s not so difficult to pay that much money. But even in that case you need to put in the work before you can achieve even decent success.
14. Another problem with Six Figure Mentors is that once you log in to the SFM back office and enter the data, you will get your affiliate link, choose your landing page and that’s it. They provide you with all tools you need for your business and you’re good to go.
But the problem is that like I said above, it’s not easy to drive traffic to your page and make money from it. If it was so easy then everyone would be making millions every day.
And I would be making millions instead of sitting and writing this review to open your eyes to the program. Yes, I’m making money, but it is not about millions. It’s not realistic at all.
15. Some experts say that Six Figure Mentors is not an MLM scheme, because there is no creating down-lines etc. You just promote the product and earn affiliate commissions.
But there is some info that when you bring a new prospect to them, you receive a commission and so does your mentor and so on, and your mentor will always try to push the most expensive membership package to your prospect to allow you to earn higher commission.
I can say that it does look like MLM, and some experts say that it’s an MLM dressed up online marketing mentoring system. I tend to think that it’s not MLM.
16. I also found two complaints and you can read it below from a real person who has tried SFM. If you continue your search you will find some more complaints.
Final word on Six Figure Mentors
My final word on SFM is that I can’t say that it’s a scam because some people are happy with their system. It does work. If you are willing to put in the work you can make money with SFM.
But the program is not perfect at all and membership packages are really way expensive and not affordable for an average person. A friend of mine lost $7000 with SFM and left the program after having been a member of SFM for almost a year.
I would never pay that much money simply because I’ve been involved in internet marketing since 2000 and I know many other legit programs that produce excellent results while their price is much lower.
One of such programs that I’ve tried and I’m really happy with it is Wealthy Affiliate – # 1 online business community in the world – highly reputable and legit.
I owe to them for having my business up and running. Their price is much lower, just $29 per month and there is no any other costs. Their training is supreme, support is supreme, community is awesome etc.
To be honest, Wealthy Affiliate basically provides you the same value, but for much lower price. I think it’s the best option if you want to start online on the right foot.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I will be more than happy to help you out.
I wouldn’t bother with Six figure mentors unless you’ve got at least £10,000 to spend on their education. I spent £3000 with them over 3 years as a basic member and they teach you nothing you couldn’t learn for free. In that time I didn’t earn a penny using the education they offer at essential. You pay $19.95 for your application, a one off fee of $129 and that’s before you’ve even started, you then pay $97 a month, for nothing more than what are for the most part outdated videos and overpriced web hosting. Once you go through their essential curriculum they immediately try and get more money from you by asking you to go elite at $2500 and if you don’t the things you learn at essential don’t earn you any money anyway. The people are nice enough but the offer wouldn’t be so enticing if they weren’t. I wouldn’t waste your time with this company. I wasted 3 years and earned nothing. Then 4 months after leaving the company they took $97 from me, overdrawing my account and when I requested a refund they claimed I hadn’t cancelled as a member and I’m still trying to get back.
Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it. I’m glad you confirmed what I’ve said in my review. I believe all those trainings and programs like Six Figure Mentors are designed to empty your pockets. Education can’t and must not cost so much money. Because affiliate marketing doesn’t guarantee any income to anyone. If you charge insane amount of money from people and people don’t make money they feel got scammed. And I absolutely agree with them. The same happened to to a friend of mine whose message I included in my review. You can see it above from Rick. I believe it’s pretty shameful for companies like this.
Im confused. You sign up with a training company to learn how to run an online business. Instead you are paying them to teach you how to sell their training to other people? And you only get a commission off your sale? So like 5-10% of your sale of their pre-recorded training? So you pay them to work for them, plus giving almost all the money from your sale?
I thought when you work for a company they pay you a salary plus commission. Instead you’re paying them to do their advertising and sales for them.
One of the first questions they ask is what value you bring to the market. I don’t see what value they bring, since I don’t think teaching people how to be scam artists is a skill anyone should be teaching.
And frankly lowering the cost of entry to be a paying employee still qualifies as a bottom feeder. Only instead of duping wealthy people into paying you target poor folks. Looks great on your resume? Be nice if fot all thr money you spend on this sales training you got a degree or something. But maybe they arent accredited. Idk.
In short, the part of SFM training that teaches how to build a business is great. The other part that suggests that you promote their program for others is not good in my opinion because like you say they don’t give any value. The only value is to take money from John and give it to Peter. It’s not a business model in my opinion we should follow. Many people lose a lot of money in such programs like a friend of mine did.
This article saved me, I was just about to enroll into the SFM programme, I thank you very much for the information that you listed about positive and negative sides of SFM.
I’m glad I was able to help you and I hope you will find another good program.
Hi Rufut
I think your review is excellent and informative. Thank you for your honest, open unbiased information and the time you took to write this. Now I know I have not found the answer to my question of the “dream” job , hopefully it will be revealed to me soon. So the search continues “live the search”
Keep up the good work Bru
You’re very welcome Louis. I did my best to write a realistic review that will help others to make the right decision. Some people accuse me for promoting Wealthy Affiliate but reality proves that to this day WA is still one of the best legit programs that helps people make money online using legit methods. It takes hard work but this is our reality. Without hard work and dedication you can’t achieve anything in your life. At least it’s a much better alternative to SFM.
Hey, I would say absolutely do NOT join SFM, I lost loads of money (20K) 🙁 through their very clever marketing, they get you to affiliate for them in preference to you doing your own business because they say its the easiest way to sell is to use a product already made (theirs). Plus you need to spend more money on advertising than they say to really make it work. Plus you can’t easily get 1:1 tutors because they are booked out for weeks. They are preying on the vulnerable and say so in their marketing, attraction marketing at its best. They don’t tell you the huge sums of money people are spending on advertising to get the six figure return. Youtube shut their ads down early 2015 because they had loads of SFM affiliates using the same ads (the one with Stuart Ross in the Indian Ocean and one in Florida Miami, the CEO’s and top affiliates are still allowed to use Stuart’s ads which is how a lot of the top affiliates made their money but the affiliates post 2015 now have to make their own ad videos for youtube which is much harder to make a ROI. SFM ads are all over youtube especially on the personal development and self help channels preying on the intelligent vulnerable people who are looking for a way out of the 9 to 5 rut or are looking for dream lifestyle and they know they have some dollars to spend to get their dreams, except the dollars line the pockets of SFM CEO’s and their top affiliates. SFM ads are also all over BING, the low end affiliates are falling over each other that there’s little chance to really make any money. I didn’t get any of my 20K back. I now realize that SFM have good intentions but they are way off the mark as an ethical company, they sting you all the way with very clever manipulation techniques in the up sells and don’t really tell you the true cost of the marketing ads and return on investment.
I’m not shocked at all to be honest Sandra! Because I know how SFM works and that’s why I never recommend such programs. I know how their system works. They created a funnel and get naive people to join their promoters team in the hope that SFM team will do everything for you and you keep the profit. But that’s just a dream and wasting your time, energy and most importantly money. These people behind SFM don’t care about people like you. They only care about making tons of money and the methods they use is not so important for them. I’m really sorry to hear you lost so much money. Is there any way to ask for refund? at least the amount you spent for SFM packages, not for advertising.
If the SFM have indeed been operating since 2010, then they will have 7 years of ACTUAL data available to reference from. They will have the statistics that show aggregate income for each year, as well as the level of membership turnover since 2010.
There’s no point in selling people on potential if they have raw statistics. NOT providing them only suggests that they have something to hide.
Until they, and the affiliates that represent them – present this information to us and verify it’s accuracy – then anything else they may say IS JUST LIP SERVICE.
Furthermore – if they have been operating a company that has been producing a track record of inequality over that time… then the SFM will have been knowingly COMPLICIT to a system that perpetuates inequality.
That would be akin to somebody offering you marriage counseling just so that they can meet with, and then have an affair with your partner. This would be a company that deserves thorough interrogation and an insistence on fully verifiable performance results to ALL members.
Thank you for the comment. Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of SFM and I actually don’t like it due to their overpriced product.
Hello Rufat,
I must let you know that what others say about people from WA is true if do a search on review on an online business or for an mlm, networking marketing company either offline or online it is a site run by someone who got there training from WA, they will claim it is a scam, no matter how long the business been around, even if it is free or low cost, case in point (I will not name the company here). There a business which will give you leads everyday, you can use the mailer that comes with it, or download the leads yourself email the leads yourself, this site never makes a claims to be business where you can make money, they do have program where they will double your leads and paid you $5. for every person you bring in,but that not the main point of this site those. But yet WA person calls it a scam, you and one other person I have come across from WA, have not call everything else on the net a scam. Is there a perfect company out, either online or offline? No, because every company is run by people. Thank you for your common sense review. Keep up the great work.
I understand you Leo. I don’t respect those people that call everything a scam. This is a wrong approach. If you review programs you have to be a realistic and honest when giving your opinion. This is I what I try to do on my site though I’m not perfect. But I do my best. There are many programs out there that are not scams at all. Thank you for your comment.
This guy don’y know Shit about SFM he is a Wealthy Affiliate Loser who keeps taking down my Comments
Hi Rob,
First, I’m not a Wealthy Affiliate loser. I’m making $500/$600 per month and my business is growing. But I could make WAY more if I wasn’t lazy. Second, I received your comment today and approved it immediately. I’ve never received any comment from you before. Third, I know what SFM is about.
I was in Wealthy Affiliate and the Problem was I was making very little Money when u sign a guy up you make Pennies because it only Cost like $40 Dollars to Join. I ended up Quitting and found Six Figure Mentors is much better now I have the Opportunity to sell Products up to $20,000 Dollars SFM is the Real Deal and is Full of Professional Internet Marketers not a bunch of Stupid Kids Online like Wealthy Affiliate calling everything Online a Scam to try and get you to Join there Stupid Program for $40 Bucks that is called Bottom Feeding Internet Marketers who have No Class!
Since Joining 6 Figure Mentors I made more Money in one Month then I would have with a Dump $40 Dollar Program like Wealthy Affiliate!
I think your main problem is that you don’t think of helping other people to succeed online. Your main task is to sell them an overpriced product in the hope that you will make MORE money off them. Is that right? I’m a Wealthy Affiliate member and I’m making money. We have members that are making thousands of dollars per month and there are many of them. Wealthy Affiliate is not a bunch of stupid guys. Maybe WA is not for you. I know a member who was in SFM for one full year and he left SFM totally frustrated and ended up losing over $6000. Does it look impressive? I think the main problem of SFM and the like is that it’s extremely hard to sell an extremely expensive product because most people can’t afford it and most of those who can afford fail because they can’t bring people who can afford it too. The same happened to Rick who was in SFM for one full year. I really wonder how much you’ve made since you joined SFM. I don’t think you’re making thousands of dollars per month. Plus, I didn’t say that SFM was a scam. Read my review carefully. And I never call programs scams if they are not. Take a look at my site and browse all my reviews and see how many scam reviews I have. Not many believe me. And see my arguments why I call some programs scams. Because they guarantee you income in x amount of days. Because they make unrealistic claims. Because they don’t provide any support. Because they throw ton of upsells on you. Is that not enough to call a program a scam? Please let me know what you think. I wish you success with SFM and I hope you will come here and leave your comment when you start making thousands of dollars with SFM. And I promise I will never delete your comment as nor I did it before.
Hello
My name is Dalene and I have been an SFM member for about 18 months at Elite level, while I do believe that you have tried to be very objective in your review, I also think you have been a little misinformed on some of the points you mention. Some are entirely untrue and some are only partly true. Some are completely true.
What I do believe is true is that any system one gets involved with must be approached with a sense of willingness to work hard to get the results.
Any system that promises you instant results at low effort are not playing fair, the SFM are upfront about the time and effort you will need to put in.
Whether you sell many low cost applications with low commissions or a few high cost applications with bigger commissions is a matter of choice.
Often people join the SFM with an unrealistic expectation of how hard they must work and how quicky money can be made, those are the members that leave and call it a scam as it didnt live up to their unrealistic expectations.
It is true that the SFM encourage paid marketing but it is also true that they teach free marketing also, so if you dont have the money to spend on your business you will have to put in the time, but thats life in general.
In short I would like to encourage you to audit some of the facts you have stated above and revise those that are untrue and/or only partly true and I will be happy to help you to do that by taking you through them and showing you where you have missed the mark, and I will back it up with more than just anecdotal evidence or hearsay of folk who have written good or bad reviews. I can actually show you training, the support response rates, the amount of money/time it may take, the ease of learning, the supportive community, the amazingly comprehensive domain hosting that DOES allow you to move your domain and your capture pages if you wish to, the money back guarantees that extend through the first year, and a bunch of other stuff.
Would I be able to have learned what I learned on my own, without the SFM? May be, but I doubt I would have known enough about to even know what to look for to find the information.
Would I have been able to learn from any other program what I have learned at SFM?
I cant say for sure, I did try one other one (not your one) and found its training to be far less comprehensive.
Can I earn high ticket commissions from another company that sells its membership a lot cheaper?
I doubt it, how is it possible to earn more commission that what the memberships costs, the high costs of memberships in the SFM lead to much higher commissions, much of which goes to you, the affiliate.
I do believe the SFM to be founded by good and honest people who are willing to help at any time. They are always acting in the best interests of their members. I have experienced their willingness to alter their platform when faced with real concern or criticism from members and non members alike.
Recently I saw how they increased the value of basic and Elite products to keep up with the competitive and changing nature of internet marketing.
I agree when you say they are not perfect for everyone, but no company is. The difference is that they strive to do better as they go along.
When they know better they do better, and that is their most endearing quality.
They try very heard to be the best they can be for their members.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your valuable comment here. I really appreciate it. I’m really glad you’re having success with SFM and would appreciate if you share in brief your story here. How much time you invested in SFM, how much money you spent and how much you earned. That would be really great. As for SFM founders being honest and supportive, I’m not doubt about that. It’s true that SFM provides high quality training and if you are willing to put in the work and effort, you can achieve success over time. But the story I shared here about Rick isn’t so encouraging to be honest and some other comments above too. It doesn’t mean that SFM is bad, but you have to be careful. That’s why I gave my verdict as yes and no for those who are on the fence about joining SFM. But if you want me to correct some points, leave them here and I will do my best. Anyway, I don’t like the idea of selling high ticket items because very few people have success with it
This guy has no Clue about SFM he is just like every other guy in Wealthy Affiliate they call everything Online a Scam to try and get you to Join their Stupid Program I was in Wealth Affiliate and the Training was all about going out and calling everything a Scam! Really unprofessional thats’ why I quit even the Owner of WA has a Blog called how to Avoid Scams that’s all they care about over there. None of them earn Cash like we do in SFM because they are selling a Stupid Program for $40 Bucks while we are the Elite and go after people who have the Money to Spend Big Bucks Online Wealth Affiliate is only good if your Dead Broke and like to Market to other Broke people who have a Broken Mindset who Middle name is Scam this and Scam that I got tired of all the Bull Shit over there that’s why I had to say my Good Buys!
I have come across the six figure mentors program many times, including all the different ads from various members I keep seeing on Youtube!
I must admit the six figure mentor platform does sound like a great way for people to learn to build profitable businesses.
However, my main concerns are the very high membership costs, and the fact that there’s no keyword research tool as well as no training in affiliate marketing. Affiliate Marketing is a very popular and powerful way to make money on the web, so I don’t see why the guys at the six figure mentors can’t include this type of training in to their program.
Thanks for a great review and I will take everything you say in to consideration.
Neil
Neil, I agree regarding membership price being overpriced. But as for affiliate marketing, they do have a training and it’s good. My concern is about expensive membership price only because it’s not affordable for an average person. It’s pretty obvious that they do so for the sake of affiliate commission. In my review I provided an evidence from a friend of mine and it clearly proves that many members fail with their program.
Hi Rufat
I have seen ads on Youtube of these guys promoting 6 Figure Income. It looked very promising but on the other hand I feel that they are also over hyped.
I have seen many products that teaches how to sell high ticket items because that is where the big money is made. I know because I have a website that sells mattresses and some commissions give me more than $300 per sale.
I agree, selling high ticket items is absolutely possible. I recently made $400 from one sale. But when it comes thousands of dollars like with Six Figure Mentors things become more difficult. Like you say, it looks too overhyped.
Hi Rufat,
Thanks for doing this honest review. It was back in 2013 when I joined the Six figue Mentors but I didn’t learned anything. I couldn’t put into practice what tutorials said.
Then I found of Welathy affiliate and finally got in love witht this training. Mainly I like to highlight the quality support received.
I like your site and the way you write your reviews. I’m looking forward to see more of this quality reviews.
thanks
kevin
This is really great that you commented on my post. This one again proves that my final opinion on the Six Figure Mentors is realistic and the program is by far not the best opportunity to take advantage of, not to mention spend money on it. I have already quite a few people like you who left pretty similar comments to yours and they also were unhappy with SFM.
Hi, I loved your review of this company and I can see why you suggest it is and isn’t recommended. Comparing this to Wealthy Affiliate, Six Figure Mentors doesn’t appear to be a patch on WA. To initially have to pay out that amount money with the prospect of eventually having to pay out more money is ludicrous to say the least. BTW, congratulations on doing so well with WA.
Thank you Sharon very much for your comment on my Six Figure Mentors review. I appreciate that you read my review completely and understand why my verdict was “not recommended”. But it’s not exactly “not recommended”. I recommend it also because the program does provide quality support which is very important. The training is also in place and almost is the same as of that at WA.
They even have a couple of training modules not available at WA. In fact, like WA they teach you how to build your business online, how to choose a niche, keyword research etc. Almost the same. But what I don’t like the most about SFM and I told it many times is that their affiliate program is not for everyone because it’s largely built on buying and selling extremely expensive packages and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
The main problem is that they convince you that the have a sales funnel and the only thing required from you is to buy one of their packages and then invite someone to SFM and they will do the rest of the work. I mean they promise that once you bring someone to SFM they will convince them to join SFM and buy the same expensive package so that you can make a good commission.
The truth is that their funnel doesn’t work as good as they claim it. If you take a look at the complaints I found on the internet you will realize that things are much more difficult than they try to convince you. And a friend of mine, BTW, he is a member of WA was a member of SFM for a year and didn’t make a single sale although he exactly followed SFM training.
He ended up wasting close to $7000 and left SFM. This is the reality and I think it proves that Wealthy Affiliate is a MUCH better alternative to SFM. At least at WA you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars in order to start making thousands of dollars.
Ouch $7000! That’s gotta hurt I would be pretty cut up about that personally.
I think Wealthy Affiliate carries a LOT less risk and some incredible training. There is absolutely no need for a newbie to be paying any more than a WA membership starting out. Maybe once your making money and have more experience you could venture out to some additional training but at least you’ll be more informed and not wasting money on a chance.
Yes, in my opinion, Wealthy Affiliate carries a lot less risk which is very important for people starting out online. When you start you need a few simple things such as quality training, tools and quality support. In fact, with these 3 components you are guaranteed to achieve success. But you can achieve success ONLY if you stay patient and apply the knowledge properly, one step at a time. I’ve seen many people fail even with these 3 components, let alone those who are encouraged to spend thousands of dollars like in case with Six Figure Mentors. I know that SFM has a good training too, but luring people into buying expensive packages is wrong in my opinion. A friend of mine is the best evidence to my judgement and my opinion. I know that selling expensive products is possible and in fact I recently sold two packages of the program that costs $297 which is not cheap at all. When the product you promote is good you can do it, but when it comes to buying products like SFM offers you, i.e. a few thousands of dollars it’s extremely hard. And that’s why many people fail with SFM and that’s why I can’t confidently recommend it.
Hey Rufat,
I really enjoyed reading your review on six figure mentors. I was looking at this program for some time now and wasn’t clear on what it was really about.
An education or selling their own high priced educational program. I really like how you get down to what they are all about right away.
I hate getting led down some long winded sales pitch just to realize that a program doesn’t really offer much value. Sure it’s great to make big commissions, but it doesn’t appear the value is there for six figure mentors.
Thanks
Hi Todd, I’m glad you enjoyed reading my review. Let me explain a few things about this program. I can’t say that Six Figure Mentors doesn’t provide much value. In fact, their training is not much different from that of Wealthy Affiliate. In fact, you can be very successful with Six Figure Mentors too. The difference is that what you get from SFM is much more expensive than what you can get from Wealthy Affiliate for a much lower price. That’s why there is no reason to go to SFM. The only difference is that SFM offers you a few high ticket packages that are not affordable for everyone. Plus you can easily get into trouble with SFM because you can pay for those packages and then be unable to sell those packages. One of our fellow members of Wealthy Affiliate was promoting SFM over the course of one full year and spent over $5000 and finally ended up making a few hundred bucks in revenue. So, he was unsuccessful with SFM although the promoters of SFM promise that will take care of everything.
Hey There
Great article by the way, I love how your personality shines through your content, not easy to do but you nailed it, good job
This has really opened my eyes to this progrm. I knew of this program when it first come out and saw many bad reviews on it, now the new program looks better , do you think it is worth signing up to the free version or would you say it a waste of time?
Thank you for this article I have a cousin I know will find this post very interesting as she was looking for similar information just the other day, I will share this with her now.
Thank you
~Jack
I agree. Most people that write their review on SFM attack it from all sides without outlining positive sides of the program and in my opinion it’s wrong. There is a huge difference between a program that provides value and one that doesn’t. In this particular case with SFM, it provides value, support, tools etc. For the most part, it’s not much different from WA. The only difference is that they put much emphasis on promoting high ticket items and the problem is that people that buy their overpriced products can’t sell them and lose their money. If you join SFM it’s pretty much the same like WA. If you want to earn high commissions you have to buy their expensive products. The question is: Can you sell those products? That’s a big question. If it does make a sense for you to join SFM you can try it. I wouldn’t. But it’s up to you.
The big thing that jumped out for me here is that you say they mainly teach you how to promote their own product. This is a great shame. If you compare this to Wealthy Affiliate, where they teach you how to promote anything, including their own website, it’s not even in the same league really.
I am also Skeptical about anything which calls itself Six Figure Mentors. It’s like Moms Making Six Figures, or worse, Millionaire Society. All names that suggest you are going to get rich. Of course, it is possible to become rich online, but it won’t happen quickly.
It’s also pretty crazy how some packages cost up to $30,000. That’s insane! and it’s quite easy to see how the owners of this are so rich!
I absolutely agree with Marcus. They promise that you will be rich, they promise that you will be making six figure income if you join their amazing program and follow their training while in fact this is nothing more than a noise. They sell such expensive products only for the sake of making money and being able to promise high commissions to their promoters. Like you I’m a member of WA and I can tell a story. One of our fellow members was a member to SFM and finally he left their program. He spent $7000 and was able to drive a few thousands of visitors SFM capture pages as he was instructed by SFM owners and they in turn promised that they would do all the rest of the work because they are experts at converting visitors into customers especially with such an amazing product as SFM. You know what happened? He was able to get only one customer and made $100 or so. That’s a total shame. He doesn’t promote SFM anymore because he now knows that their program doesn’t live up to its promises. And that’s why I didn’t call it a scam but in my final verdict I don’t recommend SFM.
hi, i have had a read of your comments – especially concerning your reply to vincent. I am a member of the SFM, I have been for about 2 years. I have to say that perhaps you did not understand or go through the training as if you did, you would not have written about :
“but then I realized that the program didn’t hold any value. They don’t teach people how to build a successful online business, how to find a niche, product, write quality content and communicate with your audience”
This is actually, a huge part of the training. Not only via tools and resources but online learning, live webinars and the value of this system is so completely jammed that it’s mind blowing.
I have :
– built a successful online business
– create content for businesses for email marketing (learnt through SFM)
– found niche products (back office training, weekly training provided)
– and the list goes on.
You seem to feel that this is only to push their products? I am not only earning commission but I have built multiple income streams using their training. In fact it has nothing to do with affilate marketing. I freelance using the writing and marketing skills I have learnt. I have been able to completely change my life, together with people around me who I have been able to help increase sales for their businesses.
I would honestly have never been able to do it without the amazing training of the SFM and I believe your comments are harmful to others that might have been able to do the same until they read your review.
A review should be by someone who has gone through the system and it’s quite clear you haven’t. Your last comment about it not holding any value is the farthest from the truth.
It has changed my life and you should be held accountable for your words and the impact they may have – you could potentially be harming others success as it appears in your review you are speaking from experience – but that’s not possible as your words don’t reflect what the SFM is.
Hi Nicole, Nice to see you on my site and thank you for stopping by and leaving your comment. I really appreciate it. As for my comment in reply to Vincent, I understand you completely. First off, I want you to know that I always try to be very honest when writing my reviews and if I see my mistake I always correct it. My reply to Vincent was from March and since that time I’ve changed my opinion.
As you can see now, I gave a controversial verdict about SFM though at the beginning I called it a scam. I edited my comment you mentioned and you can now see it. But I really wonder why you pointed out to this one only? I have good words about SFM throughout my review and other comments and if you want to know exactly what I think about SFM you HAVE to read all my comments.
I know that SFM has a good training and if you want to learn how to make money online SFM is a good option and this is exactly what I say in the final word about SFM: “If you are willing to put in the work you can make money with SFM”. I think this means a lot.
As for my my experience, I have a friend of mine who is a member of SFM and so I know what I’m talking about. I don’t think SFM training is much different from Wealthy Affiliate, Bring the Fresh, Chris Farrell.
As for complaints about SFM, this is fact that some people are not happy with the program at all and it’s because SFM pushes its overpriced product and when SFM members fail to sell it to others they start to feel unhappy or being scammed.
We all know and understand that there is a real cost for every product and SFM product can’t and SHOULDN’T cost as much as a few thousands of dollars. It’s unfair and it’s done because only this way they can offer a high commission to SFM members. That’s why I gave a controversial verdict about SFM and it’s my unique opinion and I think it’s right.
Hi Rufat,
You know you are the third promoter of Wealthy Affiliate to bag out The SFM, seems like a bit of a coincidence. Not that I am saying Wealthy Affiliate is not a great product as I was a member some 10 years ago.
I have an Intro Membership with SFM and I am very happy with what I have experienced so far. The training is very good, DBL is excellent, support is brilliant!
There is a lot of disinformation about them and typically coming from people who have never joined so how can they be legitimate reviews?
I noticed you could only find 2 complaints. If SFM were as bad as you and some others make out, the internet would be filled with them.
I think I am getting great value for money considering what I have access to and if I choose to upgrade I will but I can tell you right now I have not had anyone try and upsell to me.
So what if they encourage members to sell their high ticket products, business is business. I would rather promote an $8000 + product and make $1000 per sale than make $50 from a Clickbank product!
You are promoting affiliate products right here on this page as does every affiliate marketer and we are all increasing the merchants wealth and our own so where’s the problem?
The SFM is not for everyone and Stuart & Jay are very upfront about that from the beginning. Let’s face it no one can make money online without spending money on marketing and other costs unless you want to wait months for free traffic ranking.
Some of the Top Internet Marketers in the world are charging thousands and thousands for their coaching and seminars and if people have money to attend well I say good on them, everyone can make those choices and if they get valuable information to help them achieve success then it is all worth it.
As the old saying goes “Don’t Knock It Till You’ve Tried It”
Thank you Sue for stopping by and leaving a comment here. I’m really happy that you are happy with SFM and I wish you all the best in your life and in your business. I really tried to be honest when writing my review about SFM. I haven’t told that it was a scam. I think it’s legit business. And I know that they have good support and I mentioned it in my review. I’ve never told anything against affiliate marketing and my main issue with programs like SFM is that they in general provide the same service like Wealthy Affiliate, Site Build It, Bring the Fresh etc. with the only difference that SFM packages are very expensive (overpriced) only for the sake of paying high commissions. That’s it. I have a friend of mine who is a member of SFM and I know what SFM is all about. And I agree that SFM is not for everyone. I told in my review that it’s up to my readers to join SFM or not. I just recommend Wealthy Affiliate because it’s much cheaper and easier to promote thanks to more affordable price. Anyway, thank you Sue for stopping by.
I like the fact that in this article you tried to stay honest. I have been a member of the SFM since 2012 and I joined at the basic level for the soul purpose of learning how to successfully bring my business I already had on-line. Now I did not buy into the hype nor did I want the upgrades in the system as I was happy with all the training at the basic level. I was not not chasing magic rainbows of 6 and 7 figure incomes.
The $97 a month may sound like a lot of money but you do get real solid value for that. Included with the ongoing and up to date training available and the access to the private community you also get,
1. Full free use of the Digital Business Lounge where you can host unlimited WordPress websites and access for free to premium WordPress themes.
2. Free access to the Simple Lead Capture page building program which easily integrates with your autoresponder and the Simple Lead Capture plugin to enable you to host your lead pages on your website under your domain.
3. Free access to the Simple Trakk program so you can track all your marketing campaigns.
4. Free acces to a complete WordPress 101 tutorials
5. Free Tidy Url plugin, YourTube plugin, My Lead Bar and much more.
6. A completely built Authority website where all you need to do is your about me page and blog post.
7. You are a SFM affiliate and are able to sell the products above and receive 10% and more in commissions from them.
8. Free access to the smart media service which to host all your PDF’s and photo’s for your website and coming soon video hosting.
9. Graphix Creator free to do professional designs of logo’s, Social Media page banners and image designs for your posts and blogs
10. On going support team to assist you with your difficulties.
Now while no system is perfect and no one man or woman is perfect, the SFM basic membership of a one off payment of $297 and then ongoing $97 a month is damn good value.
Many of the tools I have listed above if you were to purchase them separately would run you into a lot more than $97 a month.
I think at the end of the day you must ask yourself what are you looking for and not buy into the hype of the up-sells or upgrades in any system unless that is what you require. At the end of the day your credit card is in your hands and what you sign off on is totally your responsibility. We are not 5 year old any-more so laying blame solely on someone else or a system is entirely the wrong thing to do.
The SFM and all the tools I have at my fingertips for $97 a month have helped me bring my business on-line which has given me more time to do the things I want to do including leaving my job.
Thank you Sandra for stopping by and leaving your comment on my post. I really appreciate it. I’m really happy to know that you’ve found your way to online success through Six Figure Mentors program. I agree with all the benefits you mention here and I know that SFM does work and can really help people make money online. My main issue with the program is that through it provides value and has many benefits, their packages are very expensive and most people can’t afford it. Also, I don’t like the whole idea of making 6 figure income through inviting people and luring them into buying high ticket items with the sole purpose to pay high commissions to others. It looks like I invite you to the system to buy a high ticket item and then you invite someone else to do the same so I can pay YOU a high commission. And there some complaints on the internet which proves that some people feel being ripped off by SFM which is not good at all. But the program is not a scam and their training material is pretty solid.
Totally understand where you are trying to come from but at the end of the day the people who have complained are people who know without a doubt in their own hearts that they were hoping to buy a push button system that would do all the work for them and make them 6 to 7 figure incomes in just a few weeks.
That is why I say don’t buy into hype. I have also met just as many people who are unhappy with Wealthy Affiliates and have complained they were invited in told it was free only to join and realise they had to upgrade and then invite others in before they make any income.
I have found the training, support staff and material at SFM to be top notch of the highest integrity and would not have successfully launched my Aloe business online if it had not been for the training and tools supplied at the SFM.
I like it because I have everything in the one place and yes whilst you can get other products like Lead Pages, WordPress Premium Themes and Hosting elsewhere you will pay a lot more then $97 a month and it is not all under the same roof so to speak.
I find it said that so many people feel the need to bash other programs like SFM just to be able to get their sites ranked on the internet and draw a crowd to their websites. Sad indeed.
That would be like me doing a review on President Obama and terrorists every other week in blog post to drive traffic. Thankfully because of the training I was able to access at the Basic Level of $297 one off and $97 a month I do not need to do so.
I do agree though that is you cannot afford a program like the SFM then you should look for something in your price range just like when you buy a house or a car and stop.
The internet is an awfully big place and not everything found on here is entirely accurate. That is something I remind my grand daughter all the time when she gets frustrated doing her homework and screams at her mum “I will just Google it” not everything is as true as you would wish it to be and anyone can put a negative spin on the most positive story if they set their mind to do so.
I understand you Sandra and don’t want to argue with you. I agree with what you say here. As for Wealthy Affiliate, they never make any false promises to anyone and that’s why I like their realistic approach. In fact, if someone is not happy with WA, at least they can’t blame the founders of WA, Kyle and Carson because they are very honest with folks. I wish you all the best in your life and business.
I am in the six figure mentors / digital experts academy and they are partnering with Grovo as from next week delivering their product as a white label. I smell something fishy here.
I really do not get their product and most of all, i do not understand this guy Martyn Hickey. He seems to know more about the weather than he does marketing.
It’s good that you found your way through SFM. That’s your choice. As for SFM, I don’t label it a scam, though what those two guys are doing is not a real business, but they are in the business of making money. They don’t teach folks to make money the real and legit way. All their business is about recruiting you into the system and get you pay for the elite package and then YOU have to recruit someone into the system and get him buy the elite package and all this is done for the sake of making money and paying YOU a high commission. That’s it. It doesn’t smell as legit or real business.
$97 a month is complete insanity! Most people can’t even afford $50 a month and you’re going to ask for that much? This is just marketing at its finest and it will work on those that fall for this. Being that it costs so much to join, it will make people think that they are getting nothing but the best. I have learned everything about making money online and it all started with $19. A little advice to those trying to make money online, you do not need to spend thousands of dollars to make money online. Period. Thanks for giving the truth about this program man and keep them coming!
Thank you John for your comment. I absolutely agree with on this point. Six Figure Mentors though is not a complete scam, but it’s absolutely useless program simply because they don’t teach folks anything real. There is no education there. Their main focus is to take your money and that’s it. The whole SFM thing looks like this: They try to lure you into joining their system and then sell you high ticket items. Once you’ve joined it, they teach you to recruit other people into their system and convince them to buy those high ticket items and once they have bought their product, they pay you a high commission. So, there is no value in the program, just pay money and convince others to pay so you can get the commission. This is not a business. I call this system this way: get fooled and fool others to be paid.
More and more of these programs are appearing to me and a lot of them don’t seem to be good, this one included.
It looks like they don’t really offer much, or enough, value for the money that they are asking for. It sounds a bit like an MLM especially if they are pushing their own stuff. It just seems like it’s an overpriced product.
And that photo of theirs is quite a bit cheesy
Yes, Vincent, you are absolutely right. When I first found Six Figure Mentors I thought I would join it because it looked like a real deal, but then I realized that the program wasn’t the best option out there. I mean they teach people how to build a successful online business, how to find a niche, product, write quality content and communicate with your audience BUT they mainly focus on promoting their own overpriced product and that’s it. SFM is not an MLM. It’s just another program that under deliver on your expectations. It’s true that you can make money with this program, but the only way is to bring people to their program and lure them into buying high ticket product and earn the commission. Actually, it’s not a business because they don’t teach you how to build a business. Their only concern is to bring new people, upsell them through high ticket product, fill their pockets and pay you as an affiliate a high commission. That’s not a business and the program doesn’t hold any value. That’s the main reason I don’t recommend it to anyone.
